Catechism Teacher Training
Catechesis (Christian education) is a vital part of the life of every Christian community.
Preparing a strong team of Sunday school teachers and adult educators
has always been one of the most vital necessities for teaching the Christian
faith and keeping it consistent with the Holy Bible, unchanged throughout
the ages from the first day of the birth of the Church.
It
is one of the basic foundations of the Christian faith that only through
this Scripture-based faith can countless numbers of people come to the
knowledge of the Truth and inherit eternal life. This
basic concept is the factor that emphasizes the importance of Christian
education on the level of the local parishes. This necessity is emphasized
by the Metropolis of Atlanta through the teacher training program.
The goal of this program is to give the necessary tools and to enable all those who
are involved or wish to become involved in the educational activities
in the life of the local parish to perform this task in a very efficient
way.
