His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos, will be in New York on Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2, celebrating the feast of Saint Elpidophoros. On Sunday, November 2, His Eminence will assist at Archierarchical Divine Liturgy at Archangel Michael Church in Port Washington where His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros will preside.

An annual celebration to celebrate the feast day of Saint Elpidophoros, patron of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, the gala raises critical funds for the Archdiocesan Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to children from across the Archdiocese, enabling them to attend Greek Orthodox summer camps regardless of their financial circumstances.

The Philoptochos Metropolis Board meeting will be held on November 7 at 12:00 pm, in the Boardroom, in the Annunciation Cathedral.

The top speakers in the Junior and Senior Divisions advance to the district level. Two finalists in each district division represent the district at the Metropolis Oratorical Festival. The 2026 Metropolis Oratorical Festival will be hosted by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Asheville, NC. The top speaker in each metropolis division is then selected to participate in the Archdiocese Finals.
