New York, NY – On July 23, 2020, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros met with President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence at the White House on the concerns of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese over the seizure and re-conversion of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.
His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios conducted a videoconference meeting with Metropolis of Atlanta Clergy on Tuesday morning, July 14th to review the current status of the Archdiocese Clergy Pension Program.

SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Saint Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine invites one and all to a Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 8, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Guests will be able to tour the Shrine and its exhibits and the ornate chapel on the premises, as well as meet newly-assigned Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos, the official representative of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America under whose jurisdiction the Shrine falls. Refreshments will be served. Guests are encouraged to bring canned and non-perishable food items for a collection to benefit local food pantries and depositories as we approach the Christmas holiday.
On Saturday, November 16, Bishop Sevastianos invited clergy and lay leaders from the Coastal Conference to meet at Holy Trinity Church in Columbia, Georgia to implement Metropolis goals and establish a conference calendar. His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios has asked His Grace to establish and build up our Metropolis' seven regional conferences. Thanks to all who participated today.

September 10-12, His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios was joined by Bishop Sevastianos and 75 clergy of the Metropolis of Atlanta. The three-day gathering at the Diakonia Retreat Center offered continuing education and important resources for Metropolis Clergy. It concluded with a Divine Liturgy in Panagia Chapel and remarks by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios in support of the ministry of our clergy and the 74 parishes of the Metropolis of Atlanta.
All active and retired Metropolis of Atlanta Clergy (Priests & Deacons) are invited to join us for our next clergy retreat. Please plan to arrive by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. We will adjourn at noon, on Thursday, September 12. Please note - this is a change from the originally announced dates of October 8-10, 2019.
