Organized under the Auspices of His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the 2nd International Conference on Digital Media and Pastoral Care began on June 18th.   The theme this year was, "The Digital World as a Sphere for the Reiteration of Pentecost and the 'living word" of Saint Paul the Apostle."

Metropolitan Alexios was a member of the Honorary Committee.  

The Metropolis of Atlanta had have representation:  Fr. Barnabas Powell and Correna Panagiotou spoke at the conference.

Fr. Barnabas Powell presentation addressed, " The practical results of using digital media as a means to communicate the life-giving message of Orthodox Faith."

The conference keynote address was presented by Professor George Mantzaridis, "Orthodox Pastoral Care in the Digital Age" and Archimandrite Efraim, Abbot of Vatopedi Monastery spoke on "Digital Media and Orthodox Witness."
