I greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ praying as we continue through this new Ecclesiastical Year, our Lord continue to bless you and your loved ones with spirits of health, peace, and love!
Even as we prepare to look ahead to the new opportunities granted to us by Almighty God, I am mindful of the difficulties faced by others throughout this world, specifically by those residents of the Bahamas, who have suffered such great devastation from Hurricane Dorian.
Indeed, it is with a heavy heart that I am thankful those early forecasts seem to have spared the southernmost parts of our Metropolis--though I continue to pray for those coastal communities, which are currently experiencing forceful winds and rain.
Therefore, when we learn more about the needs of the Bahamanian community--as well as our own sister parishes--I encourage our Metropolis to join together as the Body of Christ, to ease their suffering and anguish, by whatever means we have available, whether financial, or spiritual.
We do well to demonstrate our gratitude to God, by imitating His mercy towards these, our suffering brothers and sisters. Inasmuch as our Lord has shown us His Love, so are we to remember His call:
"Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40). I remain,
With paternal blessings and with much love in Christ,
