June 27, 2022The annual Southeastern Federation of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians Conference was held at the parish of St. George Greek Orthodox Church the weekend of June 18th & 19th, 2022.

The Patriarch Athenagoras Medallion is awarded for service to church music in the Metropolis of Atlanta. The recipients for this year are Philip Vavalides from Dormition of the Theotokos in Greensboro, NC, Constance Ross from St. George in Knoxville, TN, and Tony Giallourakis from Holy Trinity in Clearwater, FL.
This year's Scholarship Recipients were Eleni Nicholas from Holy Trinity in Raleigh, NC, who is studying Vocal Performance at Eastman School of Music; Elaina Yamalis from Holy Trinity Charlotte, NC, who is minoring in music at Western Carolina University; and Artemis Xenick from St. John's in Tampa, FL, who is majoring in music therapy at Florida State University.
