February 6, 2023On February 4, 2023, His Grace Bishop Sevastianos of Zela presided over the Western Conference District Council meeting hosted by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Pensacola, FL. Twenty-five clergy and laity from eight parishes participated the Western Conference District Council, and His Grace offered his spiritual guidance and pastoral support. Following the meeting, His Grace celebrated Great Vespers with six priests from the conference: Western Conference Vicar, Fr. Matthew Carter of Mobile; Fr. John Kalantzis of Pensacola, Fr. George Wilson of New Orleans, Fr. Paisius McGrath of Biloxi, Fr. Sasa Turcik of Gulf Shores, and Fr. John Wallace of Ft. Walton Beach. His Grace was touched by the exceptional hospitality and wonderful gift bags given to all the participants by Fr. John and Presvytera Michelle Kalantzis and the dedicated parishioners of Annunciation Pensacola. On Sunday, February 5, His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy with Fr. John Kalantzis at Annunciation Pensacola, and he offered a special children’s sermon for the many children who were present with their families.
