The Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos has provided a faith based camp helping children with special needs grow in their relationship with God.    The camp is currently not being offered. 

 

We have a 1:1 ratio of trained coumselors for each special needs child. Families  stay in cabins and experience all that our beautiful retreat center has to offer: recreation, art programs, special parent seminars, bonding opportunities with other families, and spiritual nourishment. 

Four Special Needs Camps were offered.  Each session was limited to 10 families to accommodate the physical, social/emotional, spiritual and dietary needs of all. Lodging and all meals were included at the Diakonia Retreat Center and cost was only $100 per family.
