The Diakonia Retreat Center supports a candle ministry where parishes in and out of the Metropolis can purchase beeswax candles made onsite.

To order, a parish can either call the DRC at 864-944-6788 or can email diakoniaretreatoffice@yahoo.com.

Offering candles are 10 inches long and cost $140/20lb case. Each case contains about 800-900 candles. With two weeks notice, the DRC can also produce 14 inch offering candles for the same price per case, with 190-200 candles per case.

The wax remains can be recycled back into the ministry if parishes ship them back or bring them when they return to the DRC for various events throughout the year. At this point in time no credit is issued for returned wax, but your support for the ministry is appreciated.

His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios is pleased to share this image of the Panagia Chapel at the Diakonia Retreat Center. It is being constructed with an engineering team that includes 14 craftsmen from Greece. This team has built in Greece and abroad 20 churches within the last 40 years.
