Beloved Clergy, Presvyteres, Archons, Parish Council delegates, Lay delegates, and Philoptochos members,
It is with great joy to announce to you that registration is open for the 2025 Atlanta Metropolis Clergy-Laity Assembly, Grand Banquet and Philoptochos Convention to be hosted by the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Charleston, South Carolina on June 11-15, 2025.
This biennial gathering of our clergy, laity and Philoptochos members marks the one time that we have representation from each parish in our Metropolis assembled together in one place. It marks the first Clergy-Laity that our newly-enthroned Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta will preside over as our archpastor and spiritual father. Also, this will be a historic event since this is the first time in the 114 year history of the Charleston parish that this has been hosted here.
This assembly offers an opportunity for us to unite as a Greek Orthodox faith family, fostering spiritual growth, gaining knowledge about the Metropolis ministries, and engaging in Christian fellowship.
Details for the Clergy Laity Assembly & Philoptochos Convention and hotel registration can be found at clergylaity2025.org with highlighted activities:
June 11th - Philoptochos Convention & Welcome Reception

Register early clergylaity2025.org/register
According to our Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Uniform Parish Regulations, each parish is expected to have four delegates in attendance at the Clergy-Laity comprised of the parish priest, parish council president, and two members of the parish elected by the parish assembly.
With Philoptochos members meeting to discuss the important philanthropic ministries they support throughout the year and the faithful clergymen and laity from across the Metropolis assembling to discuss the ministries and administration of the parishes, these should be fruitful and uplifting days in Charleston.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Holy City of Charleston!
Sincerely in Christ,
Metropolis of Atlanta Clergy Laity Planning Committee
