May 7, 2016Metropolis clergy, the faithful from surrounding parishes, and lots of youth joined His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios, who also welcomed and introduced His Grace Bishop Kyrillos of Abydou, visiting from Athens. Those present participated in Agape Vespers and the Lunch/Glendi. Many enjoyed the tours highlighting the new Panagia Chapel under construction, along with canoeing and hiking. The sumptuous lunch included lamb, chicken, salad, green beans, spanakopita, manestra, and many desserts.
Special thanks are offered to Metropolitan Alexios for inviting everyone in the Holy Metropolis of Atlanta to this annual event. We commend the DRC staff for its warm welcome and hospitality. We especially thank all of our contributors and supporters for donating their time, talents, and treasures to not only maintain, but expand the ministries and programs for the use of our parishioners. We hope you will return and bring your children and grandchildren often and take part in the many opportunities to grow closer to our Risen Lord and share His light, love, and mercy.
