May 13, 2021Χριστός Ανέστη! On Sunday, May 8th 2021, the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Charlotte, North Carolina welcomed our chief shepherd and spiritual father, Metropolitan +Alexios, to celebrate the Divine Liturgy on Mother’s Day.
Before the conclusion of the Liturgy, His Eminence elevated Fr. Vasileios Tsourlis, Dean of the Cathedral and Vicar of the Northeast Conference, to the office of Protopresbyter. His Eminence also tonsured members of the Cathedral’s acolyte team. ΑΞΟΙ!
In addition to Fr. Vasileios, the clergy that concelebrated the liturgy with the Metropolitan included the Rev. Fr. Andreas Houpos, Proïstamenos of St. Nektarios parish of Charlotte, Frs. Jonathan Mettasophia and Christian Siskos of Holy Trinity, and Deacon George Politis. Είs πολλά ετη Δέσποτα!
