On November 20th and 21st, Western Conference clergy and faithful gathered at the Presentation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church in Malbis (Daphne, Alabama), to celebrate the Feast Day. We’re grateful to the clergy who traveled to attend services: Fr. George Wilson from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in New Orleans; Fr. John Kalantzis from Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Pensacola, FL; Fr. Paisius McGrath from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Biloxi, Mississippi; and Fr. John Wallace from Ss. Markella and Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. We also welcomed visiting chanters John Boyer from New Orleans, Stelios Vatsolakis from Pensacola, Megan Morgan from Ft. Walton, and Mireia Saad from Mobile. At the Divine Liturgy, Fr. George Wilson celebrated the 30th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood, and Fr. Matthew Carter, Vicar of the Western Conference, read a letter from His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios commemorating the occasion. A special thank you to the Malbis Foundation for their hospitality and for hosting the clergy and chanters who traveled for the Feast Day.
