Handmaidens is a ministry dedicated to fostering the love of Christ and His Church in young women as it is modeled after the ministry of the Theotokos, the Myrrhbearers, and the other women saints. The group provides the opportunity for girls to grow together in service, prayer and purity through their participation in the life of the church.
OCAA will foster dialogue between the Church and contemporary society to enrich the spiritual lives of those seeking a deeper relationship with God. The speakers of this Symposium were selected as both scholars and monastics, so that they may help both the Laity and their fellow monastics gain a greater understanding of the Monastic lifestyle.
On Saturday, March 21, our Atlanta Cathedral will host the 2020 Parish Presidents Meeting from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Workshops will feature resources and question and answer sessions for the following topics: youth protection, insurance, construction, renovation and iconography projects, guiding parishes with clergy transitions, new changes to the Archdiocese Allocation Program, monetary savings on candles, educational symposia, and new regional councils within the Metropolis.
